A Place in Time…

Nature. What do we think of nature? A place where flowers grow. A place where birds chirp. A place where humans walk through and see leaves changing because of the seasons. We all see nature differently. We either want to take a picture of what we see or just sit down on a bench and admire the beauty that’s right in front of us. The first time I admired nature was when I took a step into this garden, beautiful green leaves with pink flowers blossoming. Tulips, yellow as the sun; connected to the ground of green grass. It felt peaceful like nothing in the world mattered. All the problems that I could’ve had at that time were gone. Seeing an old couple just sitting in silence, looking at two little birds walking around, made me feel at ease. There were so many things to see, like bees flying from one flower to the other but scared of getting stung by one if you got to close to see. Made me wonder how others see nature. Do they see what I see? Or I see what they see? What does it mean to us? It’s life. Breathing of fresh air. A place where your thoughts can be free. It was a summer hot day, where the sun was beaming at me but I didn’t mind, it gave the garden a sense of happiness and joy. I wondered how it’ll look if I was here at night. Would it look the same? Or if the sun gave the garden a touch of wonder? There weren’t a lot of people but I’ve passed by it before and never thought of entering till that day. I was glad I did. In a way it was exactly what I needed to see and feel.

  1. Good questions here! You do need to relate this to one of the poems we read and offer an analysis of it.
